Recruitment Fraud Alert

Job Description Summary

As the Supplier Management & Sustainable Procurement Specialist, you will drive responsible sourcing practices across STEMCELL’s supply base, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, company policies, and sustainability commitments. You will lead the supplier performance management program, which encompasses supplier engagement on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and diversity initiatives, internal and external audit requirements, and advancement of sustainable procurement practices. This will include Scope 3 emissions, supplier due diligence, and alignment with international frameworks such as Science Based Targets initiatives (SBTi), Ecovadis, and Modern Slavery legislation.


This is a highly collaborative role in which you will work closely with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, Corporate Communications, Category Management, and Purchasing teams to develop and drive Supplier Diversity and Sustainability strategies with current and future suppliers while fostering engagement with leadership to support STEMCELL’s ESG goals.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead sustainable procurement initiatives, including the annual ESG supplier assessment and supplier engagement on sustainability performance in alignment with global regulatory requirements, and Sustainability, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (SDEI) best practices 

  • Drive continuous improvement to the sustainable procurement program to ensure accurate and holistic assessment of our suppliers' current ESG landscape and identify opportunities for improvement as part of the broader Supplier Performance Management Program

  • Conduct gap analyses of the supplier SDEI spectrum to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity

  • Lead the development and implementation of ESG and Supplier Diversity initiatives, including SDEI system/software tools with suppliers qualified under the SDEI program

  • Responsible for managing the Supplier Code of Conduct (SCC), other SDEI program SOPs and Policies and SDEI program benchmarks, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), baselining, metrics, and reporting

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Sustainability, or related field, with 10+ years of related experience

  • Solid understanding of responsible sourcing, ESG, sustainable procurement frameworks, including ISO standards (9001, 14001) and audit processes considerations related to supplier performance management

  • Familiarity with UN Global Compact and SBTi framework, and evolving sustainable procurement requirements such as supplier diversity frameworks and modern slavery legislation, EUDR – Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products, Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), etc.

  • Data analysis, supplier performance evaluation with strong policy and procedure development skills

  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration, including effective communication and presentation skills (executive-level reporting)

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

$98,900.00 - $148,300.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
