Job Description Summary

Are you looking to use your analytical skills and scientific knowledge to solve technical problems and support product development as part of a dynamic and collaborative team? STEMCELL Technologies, Canada’s largest biotechnology company, is looking for a Senior Analytical Development and Services Associate to help develop and perform new analytical methods to support the introduction and manufacturing of STEMCELL products.

In this role, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and qualification of analytical methods used to support the entire lifecycle of STEMCELL products. Techniques may include, but are not limited to, sample preparation, liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, and operation of various chemical analyzers.

Please note this is a fixed term role, with an expected coverage time of 16-18 months.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform analytical characterization of products and processes

• Execute analytical method development activities

• Contribute to method transfer to QC

• Analyze, document, and present experimental results

• Contribute to cross-functional projects

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field with 2-6 years of relevant experience or MSc degree with less than 4 years experience is required

• Knowledge and hands on experience with analytical assays and instruments, including liquid/gas chromatography

• Experience working with small molecules and lipids

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting data to groups and writing reports for broader audiences

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively

• Experience performing statistical analyses and interpreting experimental data is an asset

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

$71,200.00 - $96,400.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
