Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets the standard of excellence for the neural team, mentoring experienced and developing scientific staff and acting as the subject matter expert for all things neural
- Leverages extensive scientific and business knowledge for drive initiatives that align with larger corporate goals and vision
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic researchers, biotechnology and pharmaceutical scientists and other partners
- Acts as a company ambassador to lead external collaborations
- Applies creative and innovative approaches that result in the launch of new products and/or IP generation, demonstrating a high level of scientific competency
- Leads departmental, inter-departmental, and external communications and collaborations with an ability to adapt communications to the specific audience to regularly be seen as a subject matter expert
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Requires a PhD in neuroscience, neurobiology or a related discipline, typically with 8+ years of additional experience. Experience in industry, translational research, or product-oriented R&D is preferred
- Recognized scientific expertise in one or more areas relevant to the Neural portfolio, with broad knowledge of current and emerging approaches in neuroscience research
- Track record of working within a complex interdisciplinary environment with an ability to lead a process of continuous improvement
- An established external scientific network and a track record of building productive relationships with key opinion leaders, academic collaborators, biotechnology or pharmaceutical organizations, or other external partners
- Exceptional scientific communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with research scientists, commercial partners, senior leaders, and external experts

The annual salary for this job ranges from:
$144,800.00 - $241,300.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
