Lab Operations Associate
Job Description Summary
In this role, you will provide operational support in a fast-paced environment to ensure our R&D laboratories operate in alignment with global standards. You will contribute to core programs such as ordering and inventory control, regulatory and safety compliance and housekeeping to enable scientific user groups to work in optimized lab environments. Additionally, you will support lab equipment lifecycle management and risk mitigation through collaboration with cross-functional teams and scientific staff.Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors laboratory compliance with safety, quality, housekeeping, hygiene and sustainability protocols through regular inspections and reporting
Supports procurement, inventory tracking, maintenance and quality control of laboratory equipment, consumables and reagents to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations
Collaborates with laboratory user groups to maintain documentation standards and assists in the implementation of operational programs and technical procedures
Assists in identifying and mitigating laboratory operational risks; partners with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to ensure adherence to safe work procedures and regulatory expectations
Delivers and supports standardized Laboratory Operations training for internal users to ensure awareness and adherence to corporate laboratory standards and safe work practices
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline
Up to 3 years of relevant laboratory operations experience
Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality programs is an asset
Experience with managing inventory of laboratory materials and consumables and equipment maintenance/repair coordination
Communicates effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and supports process improvements and training initiatives
Manages time and priorities efficiently while collaborating on laboratory operational activities across multiple teams and scientific user groups

The annual salary for this job ranges from:
$58,500.00 - $79,100.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
