Environmental Compliance Specialist
Job Description Summary
As an Environmental Compliance Specialist at STEMCELL, you will ensure compliance with evolving environmental regulations and reporting standards to maintain global market access and meet customer expectations. You will play a critical role in mitigating compliance risks, preparing for upcoming regulations, and contributing to the company's environmental initiatives and strategy. You will support internal audit functions, regulatory filings, stakeholder engagement, and cross-departmental projects tied to environmental compliance obligations.Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance Monitoring: Track and interpret environmental regulations globally. Maintain a centralized database of forthcoming compliance obligations, their applicability, and associated risks. Lead multi-year, cross-departmental compliance initiatives
Regulatory Support: Assist in the preparation and submission of environmental compliance documentation and reports to regulatory bodies and third parties
Internal & External Communication: Develop and distribute internal and public environmental performance reports in alignment with global reporting standards Respond to customer inquiries and collaborate across departments to ensure consistent messaging and transparency
Strategic Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) collaboration: Contribute to the development and execution of ESG goals and performance metrics. Monitor ESG regulatory developments and recommend strategic adjustments to the compliance roadmap
Knowledge and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Law, or Accounting with specialization in ESG reporting. Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental compliance or ESG reporting
In-depth knowledge of global environmental regulations and reporting framework and familiarity with global regulations (e.g., CSRD, EUDR, Proposition 65, Bill C-59) and GRI Certification, SASB Standards Training, or equivalent ESG/Environmental reporting frameworks
Knowledge of CMRT, CDP, and ISO 14001 is advantageous
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and interpret regulatory requirements with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. excellent communication and stakeholder engagement

The annual salary for this job ranges from:
$81,700.00 - $122,500.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
