Senior Manufacturing Technician, Consumables
Job Description Summary
This role is based within our manufacturing environment at our UK site in Melbourne. The Senior Manufacturing Technician will be a key member of our small but growing operations team, and responsible for the volume manufacturing of product consumables.Consumable manufacture is an extremely important function and incorporates routine but complex micro fluidic assemblies. A high level of consistent quality is expected and an eye for detail.
Activities include high level parts inspection prior to assembly and end of line testing of completed assemblies.
The production technician will work predominantly in our Class 7 cleanroom and adhere to cleanroom protocols and an ISO 13845 quality management system.
This role will also support many R&D activities relating to assembly build and processes of next generation products.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all consumable product manufacturing activities at the UK site, ensuring all timelines are met and escalating any issues to Operations Management.
Responsible component enhanced inspection, mechanical build end of line test and component packing, whilst adhering to our internal procedures and protocols. This is particularly important as many activities will take place within our class 7 cleanroom.
The Production Technician will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and organised environment.
Champion for the manufacturing environment and continued improvement.
This role will support the development of new manufacturing requirements, and procedures relating to new product introduction.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
Good practical and technical skills.
Ability to work methodically and precisely.
Ability to maintain high levels of consistent quality.
Confident at reading and understanding engineering drawings.
Volume micro component fluid assembly / or similar complex assembly experience.
Previous experience of class cleanroom environments and practices.
Demonstrated assembly experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within medical devices or life sciences.
High attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills and happy to be a team member and support colleagues.

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
£24,700.00 - £37,100.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package that may include health benefits, retirement savings, and more (depending on region).
