Job Description Summary

The Senior Manager, Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis leads the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) departmental efforts in the areas of: financial modeling, automation, standardization, and change management for adoption of best practices in these areas. Produces executive reporting packages, MD&A commentary, and dashboards that distill meaningful trends, insights, and recommendations that affect company-wide decision making. Responsible for the ongoing Financial Planning and Analysis calendar of activities and cross-functional coordination between teams and systems to complete budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities for FPA-related systems, processes, executive reporting, and models

• Gather and document business requirements, process flows, and systems integrations needed for successful implementation of improvement opportunities

• Prioritize and implement improvements that increase analysis bandwidth and deepen the insights FPA offers to support business decisions

• Play a key role in the selection, configuration, and implementation of a new FPA budgeting and reporting system and its integration with other Enterprise systems (e.g. Workday, SAP), train end-users, and suggest enhancements

• Implements system and process improvements that introduce self-serve, real-time data and analysis availability, including BI tools (e.g. Tableau) and ensuring data integrity

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or Computer Systems

• CPA-CA preferred, CFA is a definite asset

• 10+ years of experience, including management or supervisory experience

• Proven people leadership & coordination with executives

• Advanced proficiency using MS Office, and Google Suite

• Strong spreadsheet skills, specifically Excel and Google Sheets

• Use of Business Intelligence Software

• Experience working with an ERP system (SAP preferred)

• Strong verbal & written communication
