Senior Benefits Manager
Job Description Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Benefits Manager to serve as our internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead our global health, disability, wellness, pension/retirement, and time off/leaves programs. In this role, you will plan and deliver the company’s benefits program for North America, Europe and APAC, ensuring integrity and consistency in how its various components are applied worldwide. The ideal candidate will have experience leading multiple annual benefit renewals and open enrollments and the proven ability to manage projects effectively, from planning to execution. You will manage global vendor relationships, ensuring our third-party providers deliver exceptional service. You will also partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal and other internal stakeholders.Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the design, governance, planning, and implementation of global employee benefits programs, including leading annual benefit reviews, renewals and program re-design initiatives
Analyze utilization, cost, participation, and demographic data to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making
Develop presentations and recommendations for leadership on new benefit plans, new markets or overall enhancements to program design, policy, strategy and technology and their subsequent implementation
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and reporting requirements across all jurisdictions, including ACA filing, 401(k) annual audit, 5500 filing, FMLA, etc. and monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts to benefits and retirement programs as required
Manage third-party vendor relationships ensuring that our service levels are maintained, issues are escalated and program documentation remains current
Establish and maintain global benefits policies, procedures, and governance frameworks Including developing and implementing benefits communication and education strategies to improve employee understanding and engagement
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 10+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s Degree with 8+ years of experience
Demonstrated experience managing Canadian and US benefits and retirement plans. Working knowledge of other global regions benefits and retirement plans, including program design and delivery, is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex benefits data and translate it into clear, compelling presentations for stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships across HR, Finance and Senior Leadership teams

The annual salary for this job ranges from:
$101,300.00 - $151,900.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
