Recruitment Fraud Alert

STEMCELL Technologies has become aware of a scam wherein somebody is offering remote job opportunities, posing as STEMCELL Hiring Management during interviews, then providing fraudulent employee agreements and checks. We have reported this criminal activity to the appropriate authorities and our online security team is working hard to ensure that it is dealt with. Please be advised that all legitimate employment opportunities at STEMCELL, including any jobs advertised on third party sites such as Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, or other local job boards will also be posted at jobs.stemcell.com, and any employment applications must be submitted directly to STEMCELL Technologies through that site. Further, all email correspondence with STEMCELL will be through an official "@stemcell.com" email address - you will never receive an email from STEMCELL via gmail or any other email domain. Job Description Summary

As Scientists Helping Scientists, STEMCELL Technologies is dedicated to supporting the scientific community through accessible, high-quality scientific content that keeps researchers informed and connected within their fields while saving time and resources. The STEMCELL Science News program plays an important role in this strategy by curating and sharing recent research publications, science news, events, and job postings through various digital channels. STEMCELL Technologies is seeking a Scientific Communications Associate to support the execution and growth of this program. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Scientific Communications, you will be responsible for researching and curating scientific literature, and publishing content across websites, newsletters, and social media. You will also monitor audience engagement and program performance, contributing insights to support ongoing optimization and growth. This role is ideal for an early-career science communicator with strong attention to detail, curiosity for scientific research, and an interest in digital content creation, while contributing to the broader brand and marketing strategy for STEMCELL.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform scientific literature searches to find timely and high-impact science news, events, jobs, and other relevant content 

  • Publish curated content on the STEMCELL Science News website, in newsletters, and on social media

  • Monitor social media platforms and actively engage with scientific audiences

  • Track, analyze, and report on program performance using key metrics.

  • Support and manage relationships with external media partners to amplify the reach of the STEMCELL Science News program

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the STEMCELL Science News program through new processes, tools, and systems

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • BSc with up to 2 years of work, co-op, or volunteer experience in a scientific setting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and the ability to translate scientific concepts into clear, engaging content

  • Familiarity with scientific literature, academic publishing, and interpreting research articles

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

$58,500.00 - $79,100.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
