Quality Control Specialist, Cell Separation
Job Description Summary

The Quality Control Specialist, Cell Separation, conducts advanced laboratory testing, analysis, and documentation, while providing technical expertise to other departments. In this role, you will lead limited-scope projects within our functional team, participate in troubleshooting, and investigate customer complaints to ensure compliance with our regulatory requirements and quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform QC tests on Cell Separation and Antibody products according to approved procedures, analyzes and interpret results, prepares reports detailing findings and troubleshoots quality issues
Lead Quality Management System (QMS) activities with minimal guidance primarily Out of Specification (OOS) and Non-conformance (NCR) Investigations
Contribute to the development of QC testing procedures, including writing SOPs and working documents or templates, to streamline processes and ensure consistency in operations
Operation of specialized lab equipment as required (eg Flow Cytometer)
Contribute to the design and performance of non-routine analysis and testing with support from Supervisor/Manager
Collaborate within the team by training and guiding junior staff, and collaborate cross-functionally to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, ensuring alignment and understanding of STEMCELL processes and QMS
Knowledge and Qualifications:
Requires a BSc degree in the Life Sciences sector (Immunology is an asset) with at least 2 years of lab experience
Experience working with human and/or mouse cells
Flow cytometry experience would be an asset
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$71,200.00 - $96,400.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
