Senior International Payroll Specialist
Job Description Summary
Are you a detailed oriented Senior Payroll Specialist looking for experience in a fast pace, high volume organization? STEMCELL Technologies is the largest and one of the fastest growing biotech companies in Canada.As our Senior International Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring our international (Europe and Asia Pacific) employees are paid accurately and on time. This position requires end-to-end processing of employee payroll while ensuring compliance with business and international regulatory payroll standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating reports and providing analytics to the Senior Manager of Global Payroll and the STEMCELL Global Finance team.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Advise payroll providers of new hires, terminations and employee changes, perform a quarterly benefits reconciliation, complete pay period end process including JE, email pay statements to employees who do not have online access, and assist with year end processes
Audit HRIS (Workday) against provider reporting to ensure employee payroll information is aligned
Prepare reports of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-tax and year end processes wages
Monitor and respond to employee inquiries and requests
Familiarity with Workday, is an asset
Knowledge and Qualifications
Post Secondary Certificate or Diploma and Payroll Certification (PCP)
Solid understanding of GAAP principles, plus 6+ years of payroll processing experience
Must have experience processing one (or more) of the following payrolls: France, Germany, or UK
Complete understanding of payroll legislation and calculation formulas with a solid understanding of human resources and labour laws of payroll countries
Ability to create reporting and analytics as requested by Human Resources and Senior Finance Leadership
Comfortable facilitating new hire payroll orientation and experience liaising with government agencies
