Project Coordinator, Custom Products

Job Description Summary

The Project Coordinator will work within the Process Development Operations team to support the commercialization of products as they move to market with a focus on custom requested products. The candidate will also work proactively to identify continuous improvement opportunities, improve operational efficiencies and reduce waste. This position will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to both big and small initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with cross-departmental team members to ensure projects or activities are progressing, including identifying and reporting roadblocks to ensure speedy resolution

  • Interpret new custom orders, providing cost estimates and identifying any formulation or format issues

  • Coordinate a variety of meetings, projects and activities related to design/technology transfer and product commercialization, including tracking and following up on timelines and deliverables, progress reports, agendas, meeting minutes, action items and database management

  • Accurate and efficient transfer of knowledge and data from a product innovation system to an ERP transactional system

  • Proactively address operations business needs with creative solutions

  • Measure operational efficiency through the implementation of key metrics

  • Ensure documentation is maintained to appropriate quality standards

Qualifications:

  • BSc with 0 to 4 years relevant experience

  • Working knowledge within an ERP structure an asset (SAP experience an asset but not required)

  • Knowledge of Google and MS Office suite of products

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Highly professional and adaptable with proven judgement and discretion

  • Demonstrate initiative, creative, and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail

  • Product development work experience in biotech/pharma an asset

  • Business/finance experience an asset

  • Project or program coordination experience an asset
