Program Manager, Cell and Tissue Sourcing
Job Description Summary
Do you enjoy being customer facing, working independently, and are looking for a role off the bench? Our Primary and Cultured Cells team is looking for a Program Manager to take the lead on their strategic partnership initiatives.As Program Manager, Cell and Tissue Sourcing you will oversee the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of cell and tissue acquisition initiatives. Your primary objective will be to ensure the timely and efficient sourcing of diverse human biological materials to support the Primary and Cultured Cells product portfolio. Communication is key as a large portion of the role will involve collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to drive success in cell and tissue sourcing activities.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for cell and tissue sourcing, aligned with the organization's objectives and research programs
Identify and establish relationships with relevant sources, including biobanks, tissue banks, hospitals, and other organizations, to secure a diverse range of high-quality human biological materials
Maintain strong relationships with external partners, negotiate agreements, and oversee contracts or service-level agreements to ensure compliance and timely delivery of cell and tissue samples
Stay updated on scientific literature and advancements in the field of cell and tissue sourcing, contributing to the organization's knowledge base and providing insights to inform decision-making
Analyze and present on metrics of the program to internal and external stakeholders to drive business decisions, including creation of dashboards
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the life sciences with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or master's in the life sciences with 3-6 years of experience
Previous experience working within the healthcare industry (e.g., hospitals, blood banks, clinical trials), or Sales experience is preferred
Knowledge of Primary and Cultured Cells is an asset
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite, with the ability to learn new programs when required
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently
