You will work in a dynamic team which deals with multiple competing priorities, steers efficiently through prioritization challenges, and maintains a strong learning and growth mindset. STEMCELL is committed to continuous improvement and innovative scientific research, and in this role you will assist in the development of processes at the frontier of nanoparticle synthesis and bioconjugation to develop safe and scalable multi-step processes for the production of cutting edge nanoparticles products.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with process development, scale-up, production, and tech transfer of new nanoparticles products into pilot and manufacturing scale production
Operate laboratory, pilot and production scale equipment such as reactors, pumps, heat exchangers, and filtration systems in the development of nanoparticle synthesis processes and surface functionalization
Work closely with Manufacturing teams to implement new product introduction, train personnel, and champion best practices for manufacturing unit operations
Produce drafts of project proposals, technical reports, SOPs, and product development documents for review
Analyze data and perform calculations independently, identify abnormal or unexpected trends, and present experimental results at data meetings to clearly communicate conclusions and future plan
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering, or a related scientific field
Experience with nanomaterial characterization techniques (e.g. thermogravimetric analysis, particle sizing, etc.) and design of experiments is highly desired
Experience with aseptic processing, as well as operating reactors and tangential flow filtration systems, is considered an asset
Good problem solving skills with a systematic analytical approach
Able to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
