Master Data Associate, Distribution
Job Description Summary
If you enjoy working with data and want the opportunity to utilize your supply chain experience and analytical skills this could be the perfect opportunity for you! As a Master Data Associate on our Distribution team you will assist in the creation, change, extension and maintenance of master data in our business systems. You will work closely with our NPI team and other cross-functional stakeholders to create and maintain new product information in our company ERP system (SAP), with a focus on increasing the strategic value of data to the business.This is a fixed term role for 14 months covering a leave with the potential for future permanent employment.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Completes entry of data fields in our ERP and PLM systems based on business rules and inputs from others in the business
Creates, extends, blocks, changes and maintains master data in our business systems
Assists in the development of data governance policies and documentation of our data models
Supports data quality initiatives and works with functional data stewards/owners to ensure the quality, integrity and completeness of master data is maintained
Knowledge and Qualifications
1-2 years of related experience in a supply chain role (e.g. inventory management, procurement, planning etc.)
Post-secondary education, preferably in supply chain/logistics. Certification in APICS considered an asset
Strong communication skills with ability to represent in cross-functional settings
Strong understanding of ERP systems. Knowledge of SAP, PLM and Jira an asset
Knowledge of excel and similar data analysis software
Detail oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
