Recruitment Fraud Alert

STEMCELL Technologies has become aware of a scam wherein somebody is offering remote job opportunities, posing as STEMCELL Hiring Management during interviews, then providing fraudulent employee agreements and checks. We have reported this criminal activity to the appropriate authorities and our online security team is working hard to ensure that it is dealt with. Please be advised that all legitimate employment opportunities at STEMCELL, including any jobs advertised on third party sites such as Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, or other local job boards will also be posted at jobs.stemcell.com, and any employment applications must be submitted directly to STEMCELL Technologies through that site. Job Description Summary

As the Manager, Software Engineering, you will ensure that all software engineering team members have the appropriate tools and processes to perform their work according to best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative, multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver innovative solutions for the biotech industry.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Act as a technical advisor and mentor in the field of software engineering, covering "full stack" from embedded firmware systems to cloud-based and user facing applications

  • Manage design reviews involving all stakeholders and approve all code

  • Estimate and monitor timelines for all software engineering tasks to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to requirements

  • Allocate resources and manage priorities according to critical paths in cooperation with project managers

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers and scientists to accomplish goals

Knowledge and Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience

  • Practical knowledge and experience in leading teams, processes, and projects related to software development or software engineering

  • Advanced-level knowledge and skills across a range of areas within software and embedded systems development
