Recruitment Fraud Alert

STEMCELL Technologies has become aware of a scam wherein somebody is offering remote job opportunities, posing as STEMCELL Hiring Management during interviews, then providing fraudulent employee agreements and checks. We have reported this criminal activity to the appropriate authorities and our online security team is working hard to ensure that it is dealt with. Job Description Summary

As a Field Applications Scientist - Pluripotent Stem Cell Biology will provide scientific and technical support products to customers and distributors with the goal of inspiring confidence in existing and prospective customers and further build on STEMCELL’s reputation for delivering outstanding customer support. This field position will be based in Milan and requires extensive travel across Italy.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverage pluripotent stem cell knowledge to develop, grow and maintain customer relationships and perform product demonstrations 

  • Work with Distributors to perform routine and technically challenging demos for existing or potential customers. 

  • Visit key labs to troubleshoot and optimize protocols.

  • Develop and perform workshops,  product specific lectures to Pluripotent Stem Cell  research groups.

  • Teach and train customers and distributors on the use of STEMCELL products.

  • Identify new applications and product-enhancement opportunities in anticipation of customer needs and competitive offerings and feedback to Sales Management.

  • Work with Sales Managers and Distributors to prioritize work with customers.

  • Keep up to date on scientific literature.

  • Represent STEMCELL Technologies at conferences, workshops and trade shows as required.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in a scientific field with a minimum of 2 years of research experience.

  • Minimum 3 year commercial experience in the Italian market.

  • Experience managing Distributor relationships.

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills both in one-on-one and in a group setting. Fluency in Italian and English is required.

  • Broad knowledge in area of expertise, including products, processes, practices, and approaches.

  • Demonstrate expertise in the competitor landscape and proficiency on the entire product portfolio.

  • Display proficiency in lab skills and be able to troubleshoot complex customer issues.

  • Team oriented yet self-motivated and mature to work very independently. 

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and proficient at time management.

  • Ability to explain scientific and technical information to both experts and non-experts alike.
