As a Data Associate, Supplier Management you will be responsible for setting up all new suppliers in our ERP system (SAP) in a timely manner. You will act as a STEMCELL ambassador while interfacing with external suppliers, and will build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across the company. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with key cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives that will have a positive and far-reaching effect on the business as a whole.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, change, extension and maintenance of supplier information in the SAP Supplier Master database

• Respond to internal requests submitted via the JIRA Service Desk ticketing system and facilitate their closure in a timely manner while prioritizing level of urgency

• Communicate with suppliers and provide feedback to internal stakeholders on daily basis via email and/or phone 

• Create and maintain high quality data in line with our established Master Data Governance policies and work with a range of business colleagues in Quality, Finance, Purchasing, Category Management, for example, to resolve issues and improve data quality and standards

• Assist in the continuous improvement of Data Governance business rules, processes and the development of documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for Supplier Master Data

• Participate in cross-functional project meetings related to Master Data technical improvements in SAP and process improvements in Procure to Pay (P2P) and other cross-departmental Working Groups

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with less than 2 years of related experience

• Knowledge of Excel and similar basic data analysis software, including how to use functions

• Experience using an ERP system (especially SAP) would be an asset

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Professional communication style with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
