Our GMP Manufacturing team is looking for a Automation Engineer to support the digital transformation into our existing and new GMP facilities in addition to maintaining and troubleshooting existing systems. As an Automation Engineer, you will collaborate across departments (Facilities, Quality Assurance, Validation, Information System) to assess and propose new technologies.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies related to automation

• Develop and provide guidance of process automation applications for automation projects 

• Support design and implementation of GMP manufacturing systems, automation software and associated hardware

• Maintain equipment from an automation standpoint such as change in recipes and software upgrades

• Diagnose and resolve automation hardware, software, instrument, and process problems to support production

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, automation, or related field with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience 

• Experience with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) in a regulated industry

• Strong  understanding of IT networking, computer programming, software development and validation

• Experience with GMP manufacturing systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, robotic systems, servos, VFDs, and other control systems

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

$78,640.00 - $118,000.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
