Recruitment Fraud Alert

Job Description Summary

Le Spécialiste HSE au sein du département des Corporate Affairs sera principalement chargé de soutenir notre centre de distribution de St Egrève, en France, tout en apportant également un soutien à nos opérations au Royaume-Uni et en Allemagne, selon les besoins. Sous la responsabilité du Director, Environmental Health & Safety, ce poste permet de soutenir les efforts de la direction pour garantir la conformité avec le programme HSE de l'entreprise et les réglementations locales applicables en matière de santé et de sécurité.
Le Spécialiste HSE travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les membres de l'équipe HSE pour assurer la conformité aux programmes de sécurité de l'entreprise qui sont développés et mis en œuvre pour promouvoir une approche proactive des questions de santé et de sécurité. 

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist in the Corporate Affairs department will primarily be responsible for supporting our distribution center in Grenoble, France, while also providing support to our UK and Germany operations as required. Reporting to the Director, Environmental Health & Safety, this role supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate EHS program expectations and applicable regional health & safety regulations.
The EHS Specialist will work closely and collaborate with members of the EHS team to ensure alignment with corporate safety programs, which are developed and implemented to promote a proactive approach to health and safety matters.

Job Description

Fonctions et responsabilités

  • Guider les employés, les managers et les sous-traitants dans l'interprétation et l'application des réglementations internes et locales en matière de santé et de sécurité.

  • Identifier les procédures HSE non conformes ou incomplètes. S'assurer que la documentation est dûment établie afin de soutenir la vigilance de l'entreprise à l'égard de la sécurité des employés en mettant en œuvre des programmes sur le lieu de travail.

  • Fournir des conseils/formuler des recommandations à la direction sur les questions de santé et de sécurité et sur la conformité. Identifier de manière proactive les risques et travailler avec les équipes de management et les employés sur des actions de prévention.

  • Gérer le processus d'établissement de rapports de sécurité et veiller à ce que tous les risques et incidents soient signalés de manière précise et en temps opportun.

  • Mener et participer à des visites et des inspections de sécurité.

  • Dispenser des formations sur la santé et la sécurité aux employés, selon les besoins.

  • Rédiger des procédures d'exploitation normalisées (SOP) et des instructions de travail, conformes aux programmes de sécurité de l'entreprise, afin de soutenir la formation en matière de sécurité.

  • Créer et fournir du matériel de formation pour divers programmes de santé et de sécurité en collaboration avec l'équipe HSE.

  • Collaborer avec l'équipe HSE pour assurer le suivi de la conformité en matière de sécurité et identifier les problèmes de sécurité.

  • Participer à l'enquête sur les rapports de risques et d'incidents afin de fournir des recommandations pour répondre aux problèmes de sécurité. 

  • Travailler avec l'équipe HSE pour construire et soutenir le développement d'une culture de sécurité proactive.

  • Assurer la veille réglementaire en matière de  santé et sécurité

Qualifications

  • Diplôme universitaire supérieur en santé et sécurité ou dans un domaine similaire.

  • Minimum 6 ans d'expérience dans une position HSE.

  • Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français (écrit et oral).

  • Une expérience de la sécurité dans un centre de distribution/entrepôt est préférable.

  • Connaissance des réglementations en matière de santé et de sécurité en France, au Royaume-Uni et en Allemagne.

  • Connaissance de Microsoft Office et des outils Google.

  • Capacité confirmée à faire preuve d'esprit critique, à résoudre des problèmes de manière indépendante.

  • Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et en collaboration au sein d'une équipe internationale.

  • Excellentes compétences en communication (verbale, écrite et présentation), en tête-à-tête et en groupe.

  • Capacité à s'épanouir dans un environnement en constante évolution et très actif.

  • Maintenir un degré élevé de confidentialité ainsi qu'un excellent jugement et une grande discrétion.

  • Établir de solides relations interfonctionnelles avec les autres départements.

  • Grand sens de l'organisation, sens du détail et maîtrise de la gestion du temps pour exécuter des tâches multiples.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead employees, managers, and contractors in the interpretation and application of internal and regional health and safety regulations.

  • Identify non-compliant or incomplete EHS procedures. Ensure documentation is completed to support company due diligence in ensuring the safety of employees by implementing programs at the site.

  • Provide advice/make recommendations to management on health and safety issues and compliance. Proactively identify risks and work with management and employees on preventative actions.

  • Maintain the safety reporting process and ensure the timely and accurate reporting of all hazards and injuries.

  • Support and conduct safety walkthroughs and inspections.

  • Conduct health and safety training for employees as required.

  • Write standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and work instructions, aligned with corporate safety programs, to support safety training.

  • Create and deliver training material for various health and safety programs in collaboration with the EHS team.

  • Collaborate with the EHS team to monitor safety compliance and identify safety issues.

  • Assist in the investigation of hazard and incident reports to provide recommendations to address safety concerns. 

  • Work with the EHS team to build and support the development of a proactive safety culture.

  • Ensure legislative compliance of health and safety matters are met.

Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree in health and safety or a similar field.

  • 6+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role.

  • Proficient in both English and French (written and verbal).

  • Distribution centre/warehouse safety experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in France, UK and Germany.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and Google Suite of products.

  • Proven ability to think critically, troubleshoot and problem-solve independently.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) both in one-on-one and in group settings.

  • Thrives in a constantly changing and busy environment.

  • Maintains an advanced degree of confidentiality along with excellent judgement and discretion.

  • Builds strong cross-functional relationships between other departments.

  • Strong organizational skills; detailed-oriented and proficient at time management to execute multiple tasks.
