As a Field Applications Scientist- Pluripotent Stem Cell Biology you will play a pivotal role within the business providing scientific and technical support to our customers and the STEMCELL team. You will leverage your scientific background to liaise with our customers, inspiring confidence in our product workflows and building STEMCELL's reputation as a leader in the pluripotent stem cell market. With a focus on high-level customer engagement through in-person meetings, on-site training, and conference attendance, successful candidates will foster important collaborations with researchers to support their scientific goals.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leverage pluripotent stem cell knowledge to develop, grow and maintain customer relationships and perform product demonstrations 

• Support Sales Team revenue generation through customer and application support including direct customer interactions and technical resource content development

• Communicate effectively with customers, providing scientific lectures and training workshops

• Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers

• Self-driven and ability to work efficiently in a remote/home office

Qualifications:

• ​BSc with 2+ years sales/research experience and 2+ years relevant field applications experience; MSc or PhD with 0-2+ years relevant sales experience and 2+ years field applications experience

• Proven expertise in pluripotent stem cell biology through peer-reviewed scientific publications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complex scientific ideas to a wide variety of audiences, from novice to expert

• Demonstrate expertise in the competitor landscape and proficiency on the pluripotent stem cell product portfolio

• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software to document customer communications 

• Travel Requirement: Minimum 20% out-of-state travel commitment

The salary range for this job is listed below; however, the salary offered may vary depending on the successful candidate’s location and qualifications (including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, education, training, skills, and experience). For commission based sales roles the noted salary range is inclusive of target commissions which the successful candidate is eligible to receive based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Field based sales roles may also be eligible for an additional car allowance.

$119,300.00 - $178,900.00
