The Senior Manager, Facilities Operations is responsible for ensuring the reliability of building infrastructure and equipment at designated facilities (Seattle and San Francisco). In this position you will be responsible for implementing the facilities operations building systems reliability and equipment maintenance programs in designated facilities, and ensuring that these programs are adapted to local regulations.
This role interacts with staff across all departments represented in designated facilities, and is responsible for receiving and documenting requirements and concerns, recommending and deciding plans and actions to address requirements and issues related to the reliability of building infrastructure and equipment. As the complexity of designated facilities grows, and/or as new facilities are assigned to the role, you will be responsible for developing teams dedicated to ensuring building infrastructure reliability and equipment maintenance at designated facilities. Travel is required for this position with up to 50% travel to designated facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and collaborate with teams on the maintenance program activities including but not limited to: inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining the facility according to the maintenance program specifications, SOP’s, and Quality regulations
Coordinate and/or execute planned & scheduled maintenance with user groups and contractors, including working during non-business hours when required to minimize operation downtime
Lead, direct and review the work of team members (will vary based on facility scope/complexity) through providing active coaching, mentorship, and conducting regular performance reviews of team members to improve performance
Manage STEMCELL's global equipment preventive and corrective maintenance program and enhance equipment uptime, operation, and performance by utilizing industry best practices to increase efficiencies, cost and compliance. Ensure that maintenance, calibration and qualification activities are scheduled and performed in accordance with STEMCELL quality policy, ISO and cGMP guidelines, as applicable
Perform investigations and impact assessments in response to equipment failures or deviations during qualification events in STEMCELL’s QMS. May include providing recommendations for product impact assessments
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) is an asset
Technical Knowledge (equipment performance & maintenance requirements) including lab equipment and distribution equipment
Reliability & Work Control Knowledge (Planning/Scheduling & Reliability Principles)
Asset Management (ISO55001) and cGMP/GLP knowledge (ISO13485) & Quality Management (ISO9001) is an asset

The salary range for this job is listed below; however, the salary offered may vary depending on the successful candidate’s location and qualifications (including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, education, training, skills, and experience). For commission based sales roles the noted salary range is inclusive of target commissions which the successful candidate is eligible to receive based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Field based sales roles may also be eligible for an additional car allowance.$139,000.00 - $208,000.00
