Recruitment Fraud Alert

STEMCELL Technologies has become aware of a scam wherein somebody is offering remote job opportunities, posing as STEMCELL Hiring Management during interviews, then providing fraudulent employee agreements and checks. We have reported this criminal activity to the appropriate authorities and our online security team is working hard to ensure that it is dealt with. Please be advised that all legitimate employment opportunities at STEMCELL, including any jobs advertised on third party sites such as Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, or other local job boards will also be posted at jobs.stemcell.com, and any employment applications must be submitted directly to STEMCELL Technologies through that site. Job Description Summary

Are you a highly motivated and independent self-starter that has a strong background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering? Do you thrive on complex problem solving and customer service? The Field Service Engineer role may be the right fit for you!

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be ensuring STEMCELL research instruments are properly tested, assembled and maintained at the highest possible standard. You will also be required to travel domestically and internationally to independently troubleshoot and service various STEMCELL research instruments across different sites in Europe.

By supporting and providing our teams with technical support you will help us advance scientific research and our mission of scientists helping scientists.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site and in-house servicing, preventative maintenance, installation and qualification of instruments and their components.

  • Propose solutions to instrument issues and service problems from low to moderate complexity.

  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone, email, and on-site service for operational or maintenance aspects of instruments to minimize customer downtime.

  • Maintain the fleet of demo instruments and ensure top performance by conducting regular inspections and repairs.

  • Assist in training team members across the field services team.

  • Comfortable with domestic and international travels within Europe.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Technician with vocational degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. B. Eng. or equivalent, M. Eng or equivalent in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Graduates, Technicians or Engineers are welcome to apply.

  • Ideally first experiences with robotics, vision systems, liquid handling, automation, machine controls, and software systems.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (verbal, written and presentation).
