Lab Manager & Associate
Job Description Summary
We are looking for an Education Operations Associate & Lab Manager’s to manage the day-to-day operations of the Scientific Support training laboratory, including preparing materials and generating cell cultures for all scientific training programs. This role also greatly contributes to the company’s core vision of Scientists Helping Scientists™ by providing comprehensive education services to staff, clients and distributors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all logistics to implement laboratory-based scientific support training programs.
Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of STEMCELL products.
Prepare materials and cell cultures for all scientific training programs.
Manage a training laboratory including daily operations, equipment maintenance, user safety and security protocols. Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality compliance to ISO 13485:2016.
Administer departmental platforms such as STIki and a learning management system to organize and archive instructional materials. Work with Subject Matter Experts to revise and develop new instructional material.
Participate in process optimization projects to improve training efficiency, effectiveness and increase the visibility of scientific training services.
Prepare and distribute a variety of documentation, including meeting minutes and program reports.
May assist Subject Matter Experts to deliver training as a trainer.
Maintain a high level of service and professionalism to all our customers.
BSc or MSc with relevant work experience in human biological science (human pluripotent or organoids is preferred).
Experience with mammalian cell culture is required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills is required.
Previous administrative work experience, especially in project management, is an asset.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Ability to explain scientific and technical information to both experts and non-experts alike.
Demonstrated ability to meet short- and long-term project deadlines.
Strong time management and organisation skills.
