As a Scientific Support Specialist, you will work with the Operations team to administer and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our Scientific Support training programs! You will also be contributing to various projects to improve the training effectiveness of our programs and optimize business processes as needed.

This role greatly contributes to STEMCELL Technologies core vision of Scientists Helping Scientists by providing essential scientific education services to internal staff and the external community!

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan the logistics for internal and external Scientific Support Training programs (i.e. meeting coordination, registration and instructional material preparation).

• Maintain updated metrics for internal and external Scientific Support Training Programs.

• Coordinate the upload of educational content to the Learning Management System.

• Administer the logistics for proficiency testing (PT) programs, including communication of key dates to stakeholders, registration, distribution of PT reagents and assisting in the generation of PT program reports in compliance with ISO 13528 guidelines.

• Participate in projects to improve training effectiveness, optimize business processes and increase the visibility of education services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of work relevant experience or a Ph.D. in life sciences, preferably in hematology or immunology.

• Experience and knowledge with common laboratory techniques; broad scientific knowledge and significant hands-on laboratory experience.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

• Knowledge of collaborative platforms such as Google Suite, Salesforce, and/or Confluence would be preferred.
