Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to downstream process development, scale-up, and tech transfer of biologics products and processes for batch purification and other related operations

• Implement scalable recombinant protein purification processes from microbial cell culture to meet project timelines

• Contribute technically in cross-functional projects and non-conformance investigations

• Analyse data and perform calculations independently, identify abnormal or unexpected trends, and present experimental results at data meetings to clearly communicate conclusions and future plans

• Author laboratory notebook records, process descriptions and flow charts, process development reports, and other documentation as needed

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related scientific field with a strong understanding of recombinant protein expression and purification 

• Minimum one year of hands-on experience using Akta/Unicorn systems for fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) of recombinant proteins 

• Hands-on experience with development and scale-up of microbial cell growth and lysis methods is a desirable skill

• Good problem solving skills with a systematic analytical approach

• Able to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
