Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to downstream process development, scale-up, and tech transfer of biologics products and processes for batch purification and other related operations
Implement scalable recombinant protein purification processes from microbial cell culture to meet project timelines
Contribute technically in cross-functional projects and non-conformance investigations
Analyse data and perform calculations independently, identify abnormal or unexpected trends, and present experimental results at data meetings to clearly communicate conclusions and future plans
Author laboratory notebook records, process descriptions and flow charts, process development reports, and other documentation as needed
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related scientific field with a strong understanding of recombinant protein expression and purification
Minimum one year of hands-on experience using Akta/Unicorn systems for fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) of recombinant proteins
Hands-on experience with development and scale-up of microbial cell growth and lysis methods is a desirable skill
Good problem solving skills with a systematic analytical approach
Able to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
