As an Instrumentation Applications Specialist, you will provide scientific and technical support for customers and Sales Representatives for our cell separation, media and instrumentation products. You will have the opportunity to support our customer’s applications and build on STEMCELL’s reputation for delivering outstanding service.International travel to customer sites is a significant part of this position.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and perform routine and technically challenging instrument demos for existing and potential customers
- Develop, troubleshoot and optimize protocols for new and existing customers
- Assist Service and Sales team with instrument installation and qualification; teach and train customers and internal staff on the use of products
- Execute and assist in the product education of in-house personnel, customers and distributors
- Respond to and document customer issues to ensure resolution in a timely manner; work with Engineering and Technical Support Staff as required
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience in Immunology, Hematology, Molecular Biology or an Applied Science or MSc with less than 4 years of relevant experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in one-on-one and group settings
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to explain scientific and technical information to both experts and non-experts alike
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
