As an Association Executive, you will be assigned to a client team(s) and will work with the shared services functions to provide a complete range of association management services to the client(s).
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the successful leadership and management of the non-profit organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors and will act as a professional advisor to the Board of Director on all aspects of the organization’s activities
Develops positive relationships with industry partners and other stakeholders to enhance the positive reputation and profile of the client society
Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s programs and services, including annual and regional meetings, publications and strategic planning
Provides financial budgets, reports and projections to the Board on a regular, predictable basis
International travel 3 or 4 times a year is expected to represent clients at related national / international scientific and medical conferences. The amount of travel depends upon the assigned client
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, background in Science preferred, MBA is an asset
2+ years of experience as an Association Executive or equivalent experience within the nonprofit environment. (Nonprofit environment experience is a must have)
Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification is an asset
Project management experience for large initiatives (i.e international medical/scientific conferences, scientific journals and publications)
Proven non-for- profit Governance knowledge and experience (boards, committees, succession planning models)
*The role is open to be fully remote anywhere within Canada*
Please note that the salary range listed below is based on full-time work. As this is a part-time position, the salary will be pro-rated based on the actual part-time hours worked.

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$95,000.00 - $125,000.00STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
