We are looking for a part-time Association Executive. As an Association Executive, you will be assigned to a client team(s) and will work with the shared services functions to provide a complete range of association management services to the client(s).

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful leadership and management of the non-profit organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors and will act as a professional advisor to the Board of Director on all aspects of the organization’s activities

• Develops positive relationships with industry partners and other stakeholders to enhance the positive reputation and profile of the client society

• Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s programs and services, including annual and regional meetings, publications and strategic planning

• Provides financial budgets, reports and projections to the Board on a regular, predictable basis

• International travel 3 or 4 times a year is expected to represent clients at related national / international scientific and medical conferences. The amount of travel depends upon the assigned client

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, background in Science preferred, MBA is an asset

• 2+ years of experience as an Association Executive or equivalent experience within the nonprofit environment. (Nonprofit environment experience is a must have)

• Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification is an asset

• Project management experience for large initiatives (i.e international medical/scientific conferences, scientific journals and publications)

• Proven non-for- profit Governance knowledge and experience (boards, committees, succession planning models)

*The role is open to be fully remote anywhere within Canada*

Please note that the salary range listed below is based on full-time work. As this is a part-time position, the salary will be pro-rated based on the actual part-time hours worked.

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

$95,000.00 - $125,000.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
